We believe that exceptional support workers deserve exceptional guidance. That's why we're proud to have Allison as a mentor and professional resource for our team.
With over 15 years' experience as a psychologist, Allison brings a rare combination of extensive clinical knowledge and genuine, down-to-earth warmth. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about improving the lives of people experiencing mental health challenges by helping them build social connection, confidence, independence and meaningful participation in their communities.
While Allison's background is in psychology, her philosophy aligns closely with our approach to support work. She believes the greatest impact often happens outside the therapy room—walking through a park, sharing a coffee, navigating a shopping centre, cooking a meal together, building confidence in the community, developing routines, managing appointments or simply being a consistent, reliable presence in someone's life.
She also provides clinical guidance and understanding with our support workers, along with the qualities that make great support workers
Allison believes support workers are at their best when they work in true partnership with participants, aligning support with each person's goals while respecting their choices, strengths and independence. She encourages our team to focus not only on practical outcomes, but on creating trust, fostering confidence and helping people build lives that are meaningful to them.
Her guidance helps our support workers develop the confidence, skills and mindset needed to provide exceptional, person-centred support. Through mentoring, reflective practice and sharing her extensive experience, Allison helps ensure our team continues to grow while staying true to the values that matter most—kindness, connection, professionalism and genuine care.
We're incredibly fortunate to have Allison supporting our team, helping us continually raise the standard of compassionate, relationship-based support we provide every day.
