About Joshua

Joshua believes that the most important part of being a support worker is empathy and connection from lived experience and being able to help someone through something you’ve live through yourself. His charisma and social skills also play a massive role in being a support worker, and the way he interacts with anyone, especially being radically accepting than judgmental. His strength as a support worker is being extroverted able to get along well with most people. He can stay calm in emergency situations. He is very fit and would be able to assist with any physical tasks. With significant lived experience with trauma and friends drug related issues, he specialises in BPD, AOD psychosis and Skitzofrenia.

Joshua's support style is grounded, relaxed and patient. Having been in professional mixed material art fights, he has the mindset to handle stressful situations, and ground those experiencing distress. He enjoys a good chat, along with taking his time and allowing for space for conversation and doesn't take himself too seriously despite his depth of experiences.
